The fabric that sounds exotic and is super comfortable to wear; makes a style statement every time.
So what exactly is flannel? Where does it come from and what is it used for?
Flannel is essentially a super soft woven fabric made originally from carded wool or worsted yarn. The material makes flannel a premium material, super lightweight and almost as soft as silk.
Flannel is also called Welsh cotton, and the original of the word can be traced back to Wales.
Its primary uses are in blankets, sleepwear, tartan clothing and bed sheets. Flannel trousers are also very popular and interestingly were first used in sportswear.
