Heatwaves across India to end from Friday, says IMD: Which states remain under yellow alert?

The India Meteorological Department has predicted an end to the heatwave conditions across the country this week. Heatwave is about to end for the entire country, IMD scientist Soma Sen said on Thursday.

However, several states experienced thunderstorms, prompting a yellow alert for Rajasthan on Friday as maximum temperatures remained well above 41°C.

"Tomorrow, the heatwave will only be present in West Rajasthan. We have issued it with a yellow alert because we don't have a lot of hope for the impact," Soma Sen said.
