What's Releasing in Cinemas this weekend of 12th July?

 

 

As Monsoons gush down in parts of India, especially Mumbai and life grinds to a slow down, there are a few interesting films that are set to release this week, packed with star power and promising to be refreshing after a couple of dull weeks at the box office.

 

·        Sarfira: Our pick of the week. Starring Akshay Kumar, Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal.
A young man from a remote village dreams of launching his own airline service. However, he must overcome several obstacles and challenges in order to be successful in his quest.

 

·        Fly Me to the Moon: Sparks fly in all directions as marketing maven Kelly Jones, brought in to fix NASA's public image, wreaks havoc on Apollo 11 launch director Cole Davis' already difficult task. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is directed to stage a fake moon landing as backup, and the countdown truly begins. This movie stars Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, with features from Woody Harrelson and Ray Romano.

 

·        Longlegs: Nicolas Cage stars and produces as Longlegs in this horror thriller. FBI agent Lee Harker is a gifted new recruit assigned to the unsolved case of an elusive serial killer. As the case takes complex turns, unearthing evidence of connections to occult practices, Harker discovers a personal connection to the merciless killer and must race against time to stop him before he strikes again.

 

·        Indian 2: Senapathy returns to India from Hong Kong after learning about the ongoing corruption and injustice in the country through social media. Starring Kamal Hassan, Rakul Preet Singh and Siddharth.

 

·        Bai Ga: Marathi Comedy that could be the dark horse of the weekend. When Dhanush asks God why Dhanush and Aboli`s life is not going well, he realizes that he has not treated his wives properly in the last five lives. God gives him a chance to correct his mistake by bringing his wives from the previous births.
